Sorry if this has been answered before, but what is the difference between 2nd edition and 3rd edition?

Also, what would you do in this situation: Dd was doing BJU Algebra I dvds (my older dd was actually the one doing them, but little sis caught up with her and jumped in halfway through). Our lease expired this past mid-January so I had to send the dvds back. Well, I don't think dd has learned to really think through problems yet because now that we don't have the dvds she's completely lost. Math has always been my only weakness (even though I was an honor student all throughout high school) so I'm no help either. That's why we're thinking of switching to Saxon and using the DIVE cds since we can't afford the BJU dvds anymore. I have no other idea of how to get her some help. We've been scouring the internet every day using whichever site would teach the problem but its become a big burden & hassle to surf every day for almost an hour just for one lesson. Dh is great with math but he works a lot and the first thing he wants to do when he gets home is go to his "cave" (meaning some alone, quiet, decompressing time in our bedroom). Anyway, if you've been reading this and have already thought of some suggestions please let me know. We've already spent a whole week on just 2 weeks. Her BJU teacher, Mrs. Genco, would do a lot of problems with her before assigning the work and it really helped dd. Did you have this problem in another subject? Maybe something close to this in math even? What did you end up doing? How do I help her finish out the book? She's in chapter 10 and there are 14 chapters with an average 8-9 lessons in each chapter. Thanks so much!

God Bless,
