We're using Writing with Ease, which I really like. DD8 would really like to do some creative writing as well, though. After looking online a bit I found Write with the Best. Volume 1 (http://www.edudps.com/WWTB.html) is a creative writing course that can be used gr. 3 - 12. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

There are some books on Amazon that might be good, too. Unjournaling (http://www.amazon.com/Unjournaling-Writing-Exercises-Personal-Introspective/dp/1877673706/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232324725&sr=1-2) looks promising....

I use Write with the Best with my co-op class. The students are grades 6-10th. They have done fabulously. It's very easy to use and can be adapted to other samples of literature.
You can see some of my student's writing using Write with the Best & another book called Writer's Workshop in my blog below Imitate the Masters.

Thanks! :) Do you think Write with the Best would work ok with a 3rd/4th grader? Or would be better to wait until 6th+?
