Hi y'all,
I'm currently doing American History with my 4th grade son, 10 yo, using Abeka. I'm happy with it, but would like to add some activities to supplement or flesh it out. It is a one year overview of all of American History, so it just hits the highlights, which is fine, but I'd like to add some fun and color, but also not just busywork. I've looked at the Homeschool in the Woods cds. They look so nice, but way TOO MUCH work and too many activities for a supplement. I don't want a whole separate study, or something that takes too much time! The currriculum itself takes up some time. I am considering History Pockets, which I posted questions about in a separate post, but I am wondering if there is anything else out there. Nothing too time consuming. Fun, but will contribute to our studies and not to difficult to implement. Kits are ideal, because I hate the work of gathering all the supplies and such, but I might do it if I have to.
TIA,
