I ordered Living Memory a couple weeks ago. When didn't receive, checked fedex tracking and saw it was going in circles from nc to ca and back to nc, then put on a truck which for some reason turned right back around and went back to nc. :banghead:

I called Fedex yesterday and for what ever reason, someone misrouted my order and put it on the wrong truck. The address and everything was correct, they just screwed up. Today I get an email from lulu saying the shipment was returned to them and they refunded my money. I can reorder at my convenience.

Maybe someone upstairs is trying to tell me something and I wasn't meant to get the book. I don't know. I really don't feel like playing the game all over again. I'm giving up for now. Eventually it will wind up in my local Catholic bookstore or home school store and I will get it then.

I hate to disagree but there is a good chance it won't end up in a local store since it isn't being distributed by a big publisher. Does anyone know if Drew is working on distribution?

Sorry for your trouble. I just figure that the longer I have to wait for it the more typos will be fixed right? :001_huh:

Well that just bites. I'm sorry. :grouphug: I ordered and used the USPS option, crossing my fingers it wouldn't go missing. I received my copy within a week.

I wonder if FedEx reimbursed lulu for the shipping? Surely they did since it was their fault. And I wonder why they couldn't have just put it on the *right* truck when they noticed their mistake?

What a pain.

I guess I don't really see why FedEx messing up is reason not to re-order. I mean, what are the chances of this happening again? In 10 years of ordering stuff online, I've only had one shipping mishap.

Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to do distribution myself and so offer discounts to resellers. If a store wants to buy the book, they will have to pay full price to Lulu and then mark the book up to make a profit. I know that's not ideal, but I just can't buy, store, and ship books myself. That's why I went with a print-on-demand service rather than setting myself up as a small press. :) For now, unless you're in Australia and want to order from Adnil Press, Lulu is, and will likely remain, the only place to get the book.

I don't know why, but this post just made me go order the book :D I think I had a quick vision of lulu disappearing before I bought the book.
