We were going to do BJU Homesat's American and World Hx, but thought dd needed a break from BJU. Thus, I ordered all four Honor syllabi for the Streams of Civilization books. They were 7 dollars each.
The lesson plans look pretty easy. The projects are fun!!! They list about 30 project ideas. To receive an A in the course: you must complete all of the required assignments. In addition, read a total of 2 books from reading list and provide a 2 page book report for each. Complete 2 of the projects, a 3-5 page report on a Historical person and select four out of the six exam essay questions to answer.
This is per quarter thus, she'll end up reading 8 books from the required reading, four book reports, 8 projects and 4 essays on Historical figures or events, and the essay finals.
My daughter is going to be a science major, so we're just trying to meet the highschool requirements.
I'd love to hear feedback from others on Hewitt Honors History. Thanks, K
