My boys are turning 7 this week and i am looking for a change in math. They have been using Singapore but i would like something different-i would still add singapore occassionally but i want something with "more meat" i guess. My daughter 9, is just starting CLE and it looks really good-she has some difficulites in math so is a bit behind. I really like the look of it and i am considering it f or the boys=but something pulls me towards saxon. They are VERY bright, like to do math and good at mental math. I tested them yesterday and one was ready for saxon 3, the other one was right behind-maybe saxon 2 ? I don't want them to end up hating math like some people have said happens with saxon, on the other hand, i have heard they get a great foundation with saxon. My oldest dd is doing videotext so i will want something that t hey can transition easily to video text. sorry so long-just looking for some thoughts
