Or maybe what I need is to learn how to work the "subscribe" business over on my User CP. How does that work?

There are a couple of threads I want to check back on, but they get lost in the flow.

Yes. On your profile page to the right in the "mini statistics box", hit the "View all statistics" link. When you do, you'll see a place on the left to click to see all your posts or all threads started by you.
