1) Should my daughter's resume be only one page?

2) The college is allowing me to be the one to write her counselor letter. I would like to go outside the box on this and really use the opportunity to explain how our homeschool worked, just to give them an idea of what we deemed important in her curriculum. I would also like to use this as an opportunity to say some positive things about Sarah as a student; things that are relevant to her ability to succeed in college. And should I say anything about what kind of human being she is? What goes in a real counselor letter, anyway?

I'd make it as long as you need it to be. Our ds's resume ran over to a third page. I didn't really like making one up, it runs against my grain that students in high school are now writing up resumes....but I also felt like we had to play the game the same way as anyone else was if we wanted to be competitive.

I'd love to see it! Can you PM me? We are driving ourselves batty with this thing. We can't eat dinner without the laptop in the middle of the dining room table and Sarah going on "Dad did I word this right? Mom, does this make sense? Dad, should I include this?" and so on and so forth. I can't imagine what life will be like when starts the essay that goes with this!!
