I have a ninth grader and a fifth grader next year. I always meant to use CHOW with both girls, and somehow I missed out with my older dd (I think we ended up using SOTW/MOH and just didn't make room for CHOW).
Anyway, I'm thinking my younger dd would really love CHOW for next year, with the textbook/workbook/etc from Calvert (since she's already been through SOTW once). Is there a high school level history program that would line up rather nicely with CHOW? That way, we could stay together as far as everyone studying world history.
Also, I may as well look ahead just a bit -- I think I would like to use A Child's Story of America the following year; what high school level American history options do I have?
This is a switch, we've always planned for the oldest and let the youngest tag along. I guess I'm more familiar with the curriculum geared toward the younger at this point, so I'm kind of using that as my starting point.
We've been all the way through the SOTW series, and they might enjoy going through the audio CDs again, but I want different spines. Also, I'm really not wanting to embark on another four year rotation; I'm looking for one year world history, one year American, and then somewhere I"ll put in a year of geography and a year of economics/civics for the oldest.
