Left a comment on your blog and also posted our read alouds for last week. This is a nice idea.:001_smile:

And may I say it's such a great idea, I'm putting in a plug for making "Read Aloud Thursday" a regular weekly thread right here on WTM, like the weekly "Wordless Wednesday"! Below is ours. Thanks for sharing, Amy! Warmest regards, Lori D.

So far this year our 9th and 10th grade boys and I have read aloud together:

1. Beowulf
(Wonderful language, dark, moody, and great action/adventure/battling for boys.)

2. Macbeth
(Unexpectedly very similar to Beowulf! great themes of "is there a point of no return" and "consequences to choices" and "pride in thinking you can outwit prophecy".)

3. "The Most Dangerous Game"
(Short story; great fun. Wonderful descriptions and foreshadowing.)

Currently 2 chapters into: "All Quiet on the Western Front" -- we'll keep you posted!
