curriculum for SAT question

I am in Canada and have a son who would like to go to a music school when he graduates in th US. We are considering having him write the SAT's and presenting a portfolio for admission(I am not sure which school yet). We have no idea what it takes to have him ready for this. What curriculum for core subjects do you recommend for the next 3 years to be prepared to write this?
