I highly recommend not letting the movers pack your library if you have a lot of books that are well organized. I am convinced my packers walked around my bookshelves pulling books off shelves randomly based on size and shape!! It has literally taken me hours to reorganize by books. It would have taken me 1/10th the amount of time to simply have packed them myself in the first place!

FWIW. :)

I totally agree! On our move to Colorado everything was packed so well, except for the books. Because we will probably be over our weight allowance on our next move, we plan to pack our books ourselves and take them in dh's truck (with all the other essentials!)

I agree. We had books from all over the house in the same box. I'm not sure they would insure the move the same way if you packed some yourself - but that's an interesting idea!

I had that with my books and several other things. I swear they were walking through the house going oh I want to pack that and that and that!:D I opened the boxes here and I was:eek:. I am still not sure where somestuff is it must have gone either to basement storage or the garage. I just don't know how or why.
