We LOVE Noeo Science. We have done Bio I and are finishing up Chem I with my now 4th grader. I will then be going to Bio II with him. My 2nd grader has been doing Chem I with us and will go to Bio I when we finish.
Question...I LOVE Noeo and plan on going to Chem II & Physics II ultimately, but the only gap we appear to have in our science curriculum plan is Earth Science. For those of you using Noeo, what do you use for Earth Science?
Thanks so much!

I am sort of backtracking with my homeschool. I was going to do chemistry this term but decided to do Earth Science and Astronomy. I will do chemistry over the summer.

We were doing NOEO Bio 1 this year and although we enjoy the books we're not enjoying the program all that much. We've decided to go with R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey (http://www.pandiapress.com/real_science.htm)from pandia press (we'll do Life level 1 the rest of this year) They are working on adding levels but I plan to use the Earth and Space next year or the following year. They actually have a try before you buy thing, although some have had trouble downloading them. I have both the Chem 1 and Earth and Space ones downloaded. If you'd like to check it out. If you can't get them to download email me and I'll send you the file.

Well, I used Apologia Astronomy and Usborne Encyclopedia of Planet Earth in 2nd grade with dd, and plan on using it again next year with ds and dd in their 2nd grade program. I do like Noeo though and think I will continue it in 3rd grade with them.

While I don't really think it got very good coverage, their earth science is incorporated into the chemistry.
We did Chem 2 when my dd was in 6th. It covered earth science with the book Geology Rocks. The instructions were basically to read the book and pick out some activities to do. Not very inspiring.
We are covering earth science right now and incorporating it into our geography study. I'm using How The Earth Works, Geology Rocks, a Science Works workbook on earth science, and a few other Usborne books that I had on hand.

We decided against Apologia because of the young Earth philosophy, but I've heard it is an amazing program otherwise!

Thanks. I'm just not very good of coming up with stuff on my own like WTM suggests...things don't get done if it isn't written out in an instructor guide for me. Pathetic, I know, but I've learned to know myself enough by now. :)

Stuff straight out of WTM...The Usborne First Encyclopedia of Our World, The Usbore First Encyclopedia of Space, Glow-in-the-Dark Constellations. I also have books from SL's Science 2 program. I think I have a couple of other Usborne books about space. I am trying to get my hands on Earth and Space from Usborne Starting Point Science series but can't find it anywhere.
