My husband and I remember having read a story, we think from Hindu sacred writings, about the Gods making offerings and worshiping/honoring each other, which was the original model for the ways in which humans should honor the Gods. Sound familiar to anyone?

I have found in Hindu stories many examples of wives and husbands worshipping one another...Krishna and Radha, Ram and Sita....they are divine love affairs (although Krishna had many wives!). Indian wedding ceremonies involve feeding each other, too. Honouring each other is a strong thread in Hindu culture..between parents and children, and brothers...so I am not sure if there is a particular story that exemplifies that (I am not aware of it but I am not especially well read, just having a familiarity with many of the more common stories) or if it is a common part of the culture that is reflected in the many of the stories of the culture. Probably no help, eh?
