random question: will xrays get ruined when going thru xray machines at airport?

I can probably find out from the dr's office tomorrow but thought I'd ask now anyway.

We have medical xrays & scans and I'm trying to figure out how to pack them for travel. I guess if we tell the people they will take the necessary precautions as to maybe not scanning them if possible. It would be easier if I could just stick it IN our piece of luggage if possible.

so...just thinking out loud here....anybody know?

Physician dh says you can pack them in your luggage and they will not be harmed if sent through the scanner.

Not if they've already been developed. The silver in the emulsion can be damaged prior to development, but not after.
