I have been trying to read this book and it is very difficult to follow. Maybe it is just me. I don't know. Does anyone have any better suggestions for readings about Ancient Egypt (nonfiction) that would be on about the 5th or 6th grade level or so?

I have already read the fiction books Golden Goblet and Mara, Daughter of the Nile. I enjoyed both of them although Mara was a bit difficult for me.

Have you read The Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt (http://www.amazon.com/Pharaohs-Ancient-Egypt-Landmark-Books/dp/0394846990/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1203303776&sr=8-1)? I read it a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it. The book says it is Grades 6 and up, so it may be a bit on the difficult side.

Have you read Story of the World 1? If not, maybe reading the sections on Egypt would help give you a general idea, which would help you follow some other books.
