I have been with my company for about 5 yrs and there will be a few supervisor positions opening soon. I am considering applying for one. I have managed in the past, but that was 15 yrs ago. I think I need to bone up on terminology, technigues etc.
I do not have a business background, but that is ok for where I work, very few of us do. We are nurses.
