My mother is asking me for a translation of this latin phrase:

Salus in Fide

I came up with "health in faith." Is that close to being correct?

I told her that I am only a Latin newbie, but that I would ask over here where the experts reside. ;)

Thank you!

I am a Latin newbie too :D but I think it means salvation by faith or maybe salvation through faith ?

In any case, I am bumping this so someone more experienced in latin can help us out :001_smile:

Salvation by Faith - it is the family motto for the McGrath family :

My mother actually found it. She does a lot of geneology research, and was corresponding with a distant cousin, who had that in his e-mail signature line. My mother asked him what it meant, and he said "Salvation in Faith." He said it is the motto of the McCreight clan that settled in South Carolina in 1772, from which he is descended.

Thanks again!
