View Full Version : My DH's travel nightmare

My DH had to travel for work last week with a group of people from his office and everything went fine. He left today for Florida and is the only one from this area going. He is at the airport and there is no car reserved, no hotel and no one showed up to meet him. He called the emergency travel # and no one has a clue as to him being there ( There were tickets at the airport counter waiting for him this morning). And to top it off I have his cell phone charger sitting on my desk LOL.

And to top it off I have his cell phone charger sitting on my desk LOL.Well, if he's like my dh, he'll go buy another charger. We've wasted a lot of money that way on his business travel.

Oh yes, we have bought many a cell phone and camera charger out of town.

What a rotten position to be in out of town though! Wow! For curiosity, will you let us know what happens?

When things like this happen when I am traveling solo, I always think "at least it didn't happen when I was traveling with the kids!"

After 4 hours someone from the company rescued him and he was able to find a store and bought a new charger for his phone. We didn't mind buying another, it was the fact he had no phone, no car and no place to go or stay LOL.

but your dh's story reminds me a little of "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" with Steve Martin and John Candy. The ultimate travel nightmare!

I'll pray that your dh gets a cell phone charger, a decent place to stay, the car, etc., and that all these rough edges get smoothed over.

Hey Jean - maybe I missed your post but I was wondering how you were feeling this past week? I think it was your gallbladder that was giving you problems?
