I used to be almost fluent in Spanish...I am sure it would come back quickly to teach dc, but you know...it's not that easy!

So I would like to find a progressive workbook curriculum like Hey Andrew Greek, but in Spanish.

Does such a thing exists? too many of the Spanish workbooks I have found are so jumpy- they are really meant for supplementation, and do not review, do not build the phonics, and do not drill vocabulary consistently- and instead of building the language from the bottom up, they jump all over the place...one week it's colors, the next week it's foods, and they don't teach verbs and tenses at all...

I would write (they have a place on their website) Karen Mohs and let her know how much you like that product, and see if she knows of anyone that has a Spanish program like it. She may have some ideas. She's very personable and we've e-mail chatted off and on when I've asked questions, or whatever. My boys did the Latin, way back when, and younger ds did the Greek for a couple of years.

Have you looked at Spanish for Children? We plan to implement this at the end of the year.

I am very excited about Spanish for Children. Thanks! It looks great, though I will have to wait a year or so.

We were early customers of their "Latin for Children" though, and I was extremely disappointed at how many errors their were in their first edition. I actually went to another program that we're fine with and haven't gone back even though they supposedly have fixed things.

Hopefully they've gotten over that problem, but I'm not going to buy it until I hear more reviews.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for reviews and/or go into it with eyes wide open.
