A friend of my mother-in-law sent her this email today:
Hi you two,
Thought you might like to share this with Andy and Kendra.
Remember the old t.v. show from the 50's, "I've Got a Secret"? Last night I couldn't sleep, so got up and turned on the t.v. and "I've Got a Secret" was coming on.
The contestant was a young woman with her 3 year old daughter. She whispered her secret to Gary Moore that she had a total of 7 children (not too unusual), but the rest of the secret was that the 3 year old was the oldest! She had the 3 year old, a 2 year old, a 1 year old and newborn quadruplets.
Love you both,
Barbara
Now, doesn't that make you feel like you have life easy??? :p

I have a pretty good idea how she feels. I had five children in less than three years. Our surprise pregnancy was triplets. It's a blessing, but tough the first several years to have five kiddos (or more) in diapers simultaneously.
Did she win anything?

Did you have help? At least in the beginning?
They never said whether she won anything. And you know, back then I don't think companies were as good about donating things like diapers and such as they are now. Bet she could have used them!

WOW! I cannot even imagine. My twins were born when my oldest was 14 months. To have that many under 3???? I hope her mom or some nice aunts are something lived close by. Just the diapers and formula boggle my mind.

I need your seasoned advice. Although I'm expecting our eighth, I've never had two this close (14 months). What's the best advice you can give me for managing them the first year? Baby is due in May.

This woman supposedly had seven children, ages three and under. Four of those children were newborns. And she had time to be on "I've Got a Secret"? Oka-a-a-y. Call my cynical, but I find that just a mite hard to believe.

As quick as you can get them napping at the same time is my best advice. And when they nap, you call "quiet time" in the house and doze on the couch. Seriously.
Also do you have a stroller that can competently handle three kids? That was a HUGE thing for us. When the baby is sitting up well, you can mange with a sturdy wagon, but some means of moving the two babies quickly and safely was HUGE.
You'll manage just fine. Your older kids, even the young ones, will be such a HUGE help to you. Build in some time to rejuvenate yourself during the day is all I can say. Quiet time after lunch is the best thing that ever happened to us.

I am not Amy or Tracy, but my first two were 14 months apart and then the next came 17 months later and so on LOL. Best advice is to let people help if they offer. Don't be shy LOL. Let the house slide or better yet hire a mother's helper or a cleaning lady for a few weeks. There will be plenty of time to scrub the house when the baby is on a schedule of some sort.

I'm with you on this one! How on Earth would she have the energy to be on a show like this? In her situation, if I had free time, I would be sleeping, getting a massage or pedicure, eating bon bons, not appearing on a TV show!
