The weather predictions are bad--sleet, ice, snow--10 to 15 inches!! It is suppose to start tonight and continue through Monday. We already have had a record amount of snow this year! Our church is in the country at the top of a long hill. The majority of our members are older--and none of us want them trying to come if the weather is that bad.

We have the generator ready and the wood stove stoked...anyone else waiting for it to hit?

Hope people can get in off the roads!

We are also waiting for the storm to hit. We are expecting rain/ice with accumulation and then 4-8 inches of snow. We heat our house with corn and finally got smart this year and put a big hopper in our basement. No more carrying 5 gallon buckets in!

ps I got my Donut master off ebay the other day...tomorrow sounds like a good day to use the donut recipe off your blog and fry us up some fatty goodness!

Last week they were predicting that we would get a huge storm tomorrow (over a foot) but luckily they changed the forecast and it is supposed to be mostly rain with a little ice. I'm so sick of the snow. I can't imagine how much snow you've had up north. How much snow do you have on the ground now in Wisconsin?

I was out chasing some cows that got out of the gate when my son was feeding hay today. The snow was up to my knees in most places--some places have less and some more due to the drifting. It was rather tough trying to run after those beasts, and I kept tipping over! I finally stationed myself by the gate and let my son do the running!

LOL!

It is raining quite hard this Sunday morning. I heard that it will turn to ice a bit later then snow. This has been the longest winter that we have had in quite some time and I'm ready for it to be OVER.

My Aunt lives in Southern Illinois, almost Kentucky, and she said that the Ohio river was already quite high and they are talking about closing the flood gates and it is only February. My guess is that the rain we are getting is not going to help.

We are having lots of rain, turning to ice and snow. I must admit that I kind-of wish it was already bad here because staying at home by the fire with the family all day sounds wonderful! Off to take a shower and get ready to leave for church and I'm sure I will be glad that I'm there once I get there.

are waiting for tornadic thunderstorms. We are not going to Sunday School but hope to make church if the line moves through by then. Crazy weather to predict for us - the Gulf of Mexico greatly influences what we get.

We are finally "melting" here although I wouldn't bet that it's over for us. We have snow on in our fields at least thigh-high and along our road it's about 4' on each side. Although people in town didn't have much trouble, we missed church all of January due to storms and being snowed in.

Take care! Spring is coming!

Yep, it is raining pretty hard here. I am hoping it stays warm enough until after 3 since I HAVE to go out this afternoon. I wish the woman had been home yesterday!!

Last night, I made sure that my mom had plenty of food so that she wouldn't have to go out. After her pelvic fracture this summer, her strokes and her recent recurrrent bout with c.diff., I want her to be comfortable.

Wow, Jean, you've really been hit with a lot of bad weather this winter! Hope you can stay inside, warm and dry.

It is raining here (yuck), so all of our beautiful snow is melting away. I guess it's supposed to snow tonight or tomorrow, but not much.

winters are getting shorter and the summers are getting longer. I LOVE WINTER and HATE SUMMER HEAT/HUMIDITY! I wish I could move to a place that has a REAL winter. I love wood stoves, candles lit, a good book and a blanket, with snow on the ground outside. We have daffodils blooming where I live. Stay warm!
