How does ALEKS math levels compare to other curricula?

If your child has used a regular math book as well as ALEKS, please tell me what book & level is comparable to ALEKS.

My dd is finishing up Horizons 6 and Singapore 6. Should I start her at ALEKS level 6 or Middle school level?

Aren't Aleks Grade 6 and Middle School the same? I thought they were. You can put your child in a level that you think she fits, and then if she knows most of her pie, move her up. Or, if she needs to be down a level, you can switch. Alternately, you can check out the scope and sequence of both programs and decide from there.
