View Full Version : I just spent a wonderful evening with dd/some encouragment...
She is somewhat of a tomboy. Today she decided to get her eyebrows done, her hair trimmed, and to get a makeover at the mall. We ate out to celebrate. Then we came home and took some pictures. She took her camera over to her uncle's house and showed him all her animal pictures and they talked about photography, how to take better pictures, how to avoid having a fence show in the pictures... She had figured all these things out on her own. This year she has grown so much. She has done many idependent projects on her own time and has spent time learing about things that interest her. I told dh that I am so glad that we homeschool. I told him she is so good at almost everything but traditional school. At home we can learn and do school in a way that she learns and is successful. Public school would have been awful for her.

It's wonderful when we see them going through changes as they mature in the right direction. I have a almost 11 yr. old son and this past year he has done some maturing as well. :001_smile:
