I awoke at 4am with an uncomfortable feeling in my upper right chest area that extended through to my back. By 5am, I asked dh to take me to the hospital because it had gotten worse and I could not get comfortable in any position. The ER doc was sure it was my gall bladder (when he pressed on that area I knocked his hand out of the way). I had an ultrasound and no stones were present, but I have a polyp. The doctor told me to see my regular physician Tuesday to schedule an appointment with a surgeon. They could not tell me much about polyps in the gall bladder or what they do about them. They only said I'd need to see a surgeon.
I have never had any health issues at all. I'm 42, in good physical shape, and I'm not overweight (except by my own standards for myself).
Has anyone dealt with this? My pain had subsided by the time we left the ER
(7 hours later), but it still feels a little uncomfortable in that area.
I would appreciate advice, experiences, and prayers! Thank you so much!
