My 14yo daughter is finding "Biology: A Self Teaching Guide" (recommended in WTM) very challenging. Does anyone have any experience with this text? Is it an AP course?
Also, do you have any suggestions for a different high school biology book?
Thanks!

Welcome to the Hive, Lise!

If you go up to Search and type Biology, you'll get a plethora of posts that will consume a better part of a day if you attempt to read them all.

I am using Biology Exploring Life by Campbell, which is a basic high school Bio text.

Apologia Bio is popular, of course, as is BJU.

Let us know what you decide. :)

I bought this book and found that it was completely unusable for us. we are using Apologia instead.

If you buy this as a homeschooler, are you able to access the online labs? What additional books are necessary?

Sorry to be so short -- holding a sleeping toddler.
