I am going to be starting my son on 4B in Singapore Math. for those of you who use this who helpful is the teacher edition? My math skills are up to par but its not my strength so not sure whether or not to pay the $21.

If it's the u.s. edition, get the HIG - home instructor's guide instead. If it's the new standards edition, so far there is no HIG, but it looks pretty straight forward so I don't think you need it. I have a copy here that we're about to start.............

The Home instructor's guide is very helpful imo. the TM, not so much.

I'm a big fan of the HIG for 4B and up. Previous to that, I'm fine but there are some great teaching ideas for some of the harder topics.

I bought the HIGs to go with 4a/b. Before that I haven't needed them but I took a look at the material for this and knew that I would want to have the guide on hand.
Good luck with your Singapore adventure. It's my favorite math curriculum.:001_smile:
