DD was at art class this morning and DS and I wandered down to the thrift store. We found a good called The Bones Gamebook. It is all about parts of the body (not just bones) and has all sorts of fun experiments and projects - guess my science issue is taken care of for awhile! I also found a book called "Bone Poems". How funny is that? A little ready to go unit for like $3.

Additionally, I found a bag of decorative pebbles. They were $1.50. I think they thought I was crazy buying them, but DD is using them right now for sorting by shape, color, size and making bigger shapes using them. How easy!

Just thought I would share!

I love going to thrift stores! Ours has tons of books, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays you can buy 12 for $5, or 25 for $7. We have found so many good things, even textbooks. We especially like board games from there. I do make sure the pieces are all there before I buy. We've bought games that were practically brand new for $.50 to $2.00. I only wish I had more time to really look through more thoroughly.
