Ds has been in ps for the past 2 years and is back home this year. He didn't study very much grammar and no outlining in school, I'm wondering if he should start Rod & Staff 5 or 6? Would Book 5 be too easy? Any advice is appreciated..thanks!!

I've seen recommendations here before between 5 and 6, but can't remember what the consensus was or why. But I can say that with R&S 5, *I* am learning new things. I actually started book 7 for myself a few years ago, backed down to book 6, then to book 5 because that's where the explanations of new concepts were easiest for me to understand and start learning. :D

I'd go with book 5. There's just a lot of stuff in there.

5 is what SWB suggests in WTM. They are not very expensive so if it is easy you could move through it quickly.
