ds is going on a college visit for 4 days...I'm a little nervous

It is his 1st choice in schools and he's going with friends and staying with some of their friends who go there. My biggest concern is that he'll decide he doesn't like the school and we'll be back at point A. At least he'll know before he goes there, right?

Don't be nervous--think of it as an opportunity to write it off if it's the wrong one. My dd headed off to GCC, just KNOWING it was the right place. Well, it wasn't! But, the next one (Hillsdale) was! And now, she's headed to grad school auditions to one school she'd written off years ago, after spending several weeks there in high school for state honor orchestras. Now she's looking for something different in a school (university). Be glad he has the chance to visit!

Although I do know what you mean about the what if of starting over. Hey, it's much better to know now than mid way through the first semester! I also feel a bit nervous...we are going to do a day visit to 2 schools next week. One is really a safety school, the other we think is a top pick. But, we are a little scared that we may have built the latter up in our minds too much. I hope we won't feel let down, you know?

I'm trying to think of it all as a fun adventure into the unknown...explore strange new worlds and new civilizations....to boldly go.....sorry, wrong metaphor!;)
