I hate my vacum!

My Bissell Lift-Off is a piece of junk. Cheaply made, horrible suction, gets clogged everytime I use it, motor shuts off, etc. I'd love a new one for less than $100 that actually works!

I think instead of actually sucking stuff out of the carpet, my vacuum simply pushes the dirt further in so you can't see it.

I hate my vacuum.

Well if you can swing about $150.00 I would recommend the Eureka Boss, this one (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3656751) It's rated better than the Dyson in consumer reports. I love mine, we've had it for a year and a half and it's still going strong.

For around $150-$200 you can get a very well made commercial-type vacuum, not one of these planned obsolescence varieties. Vacorama.com (http://vacorama.com/), a vacuum cleaner sales site, had helpful information.

not for less than $100, not one that will do a good job and last any length of time.

I bought my first upright vacuum in 1981, an Electrolux. I just bought a new one in January, another Electrolux. I'm thinking that a new vac every 26 years or so isn't bad. I have an Electrolux cannister vac for downstairs, which is all hardwood.
