I thought that the answer keys used to be available "free" online? Now they are not? Yes? No?

I think my kids would benefit from supplementing with it.

But I won't have funds for the answers for 3 levels for.......a while!

Has this changed or did I have it wrong to begin with?

I think you have to buy them now?

If you have the old version, PM me and I'll see if I have the answers.

Which levels do you have, Joanne? And what version? I might have the answer keys!

I don't understand--do you mean the answer keys, or the (more detailed) solutions manuals?

The answer keys are very cheap, and include three years of curricula--1st-3rd, then 4th-6th. Those just give you the answers so that you can correct their work quickly. (I haven't found that I need any more than that.) So, you would need at most to buy the two of them for under $15.

The teachers manuals, yes, can add up. But through sixth grade math, they seem highly unnecessary. Unless you are extremely math-averse, my instinct is to say you should be able to get along without them. Especially if you're using SM as a supplement.

Also, if you are using it as a supplement, rather than your spine, what about the extra practice workbooks? They come with the answer key in the back (although, again, not a detailed solution guide).

I mean the answer keys which I remember to be online. I don't remember solutions manuals at all.

Much more budget friendly! Thank you.

Yes. I put Singapore away because I didn't have the time to help my kids with it as a supplement; we've used Saxon as our spine. I now have time and focus and think they would benefit from Singapore.

Also, if you are using it as a supplement, rather than your spine, what about the extra practice workbooks? They come with the answer key in the back (although, again, not a detailed solution guide).

That might be what I do as we "use up" our already purchased resources. Hopefully by then, I'll have more open budget options. :-)

It says on the top right corner of the cover pages.

The answer keys that you purchase are for the US versions. However, they do have notes on how they match up with the 3rd edition. We started long with Singapore long before there was a US edition. So, I am reusing the texts with my 3rd child and now can only get the US edition workbooks.

Nope. Sorry, I have the Third Edition printed in 2001. It doesn't say US anywhere on them.

And they will answer email and mail it out and were, in general, very helpful and friendly. I know they lost their lease and were moving, so there *may* be a delay right now, but probably not. Their online catalog is sparse, so email, as the store is JAMMED with stuff, including every math dice imaginable, etc. etc. I found the older books unused but very cheap (I love goodwill), and thus hunted these down.
