View Full Version : I'm considering using Jacob's for algebra, what would you recommend for pre-algebra?

We are currently doing Singapore 5B and Chalkdust Basic Math. DD is in 5th grade, so we are not in a rush. Would Singapore 6A/6B and Life of Fred Decimals and Percents be enough? Add some Key to Algebra?

Thanks,
Lisa

I used Math Smart Junior (just $1 on amazon) and the one month free trial of aleks pre-algebra after 6B and then moved right into algebra.

Both of my boys went straight from MCP (Modern CUrriciulum Press) sixth grade & Hands On Equations into Jacob's Algebra in seventh without any transitional pre-algebra and did just fine. Jacob's spends the first 5 or so chapters on reviewing basic concepts.
