I just saw it mentioned on the morning news and dh saw it and thinks it would be a great idea.

Is it worthwhile? How complicated is it to do this? Does it take a lot of time to pull together? I guess I need those weekend coupons from the newspaper.....

Give me the dirt!! - I'm still checking out their website but I figured you guys would know what it really takes to do this!

:D ty!

It was a HUGE waste for us! Food wise only things you ever found were processed, bad for you food that I wouldn't feed my kid! And I'm certainly not all organic or anything. But you could certainly make healthery food from scratch cheaper than you could buy the stuff it offered.

It had lots of cleaners and things, but I could still make my own natural cleaners for MUCH cheaper. Coupons usually promote things you really don't need, (swiffers, special cleaners, that type of thing) they just make you spend more money.

I don't think we ever found 5 things a week we could use the entire time we did it.

Well, I'm amazed at how much publicity it has gotten! I started with her way back when it was very new. It is bigger now, but basically, the list is the same. It TOTALLy depends on what kind of things you typically buy. I noticed they are all name brand items, and convienence stuff.
I bought everything I could that was cleaner/shampoo/deodorant related. They were practically free. I still have a BOX of toothbrushes and toothpaste that were all free!
I did not find that we ever bought the frozed food stuff. I did buy BBQ sauces and salad dressings. All in all, it was worth what I paid back then, but I haven't seen it lately, and now there is no store to where we live that I could use, and I don't really miss it. We eat much more healthy than what she has you buy. Because I still have BOXES of all those shampoos and stuff, I don't need any of that for a long time. I just stick to the outside edges of the store and come home with less cost.
