Latin translation question

My dd is doing Henle Latin and we have a question.

The question is translate "Mary sees the Son of God." She translated it "Maria filium Dei videt." The book says "Maria Dei Filium videt." A previous question had "The Christians praise the Son of God" and it was translated "Christiani Filium Dei laudant." What is the difference (other than the verb) in how these are translated? We're not understanding. Can someone help us out?

In the first sentence Mary (subject noun) is singular ,in the second Christians is plural. Therefore, the first sentence has a singular (he, she ) verb and second has a plural (they) verb.As far as word order goes it is fine either way. Henle often changes word order, because much of the word
order in Latin is dependant on word endings, not on placement.

I really appreciate your help. Dd has a better knack for the Latin and is understanding it much better than I.
