Do I need a teacher's guide? What else should I get besides the books?

NOTHING. There is no teacher's guide. If you have the books and a 3x5 card (that you cut a notch out of) that is all you need.

The books look so simple but they WORK. 10-15 minutes a day is all you need. Honestly, I have my 13dd with an IQ of 38 and LDs (yes, you can have LDs and be cognitively impaired as well) reading the ARI 3 books right now. She was a child that was never supposed to be able to learn to read. She is now reading many other library books, the Bible, her ACE paces, etc.
