Neurodevelopmental pediatricians

I have found a ND Ped about an hour away from us. I am wondering what the benefits of seeing him might be. Would he relace the family doctor, or just work alongside her in the care of my boys learning disabilities and possible dx of things like ADD, OCD, PDD-NOS or Aspergers, etc?

Or am I thinking of the wrong field entirely here? :) I've heard of developmental peds. Not sure what the difference is.

Wow! I didn't know there was such a thing as an ND ped. I would love to hear of anyone's experience with one as well!
