Does anyone have this book? I'm wondering which version to get for my sons (7 & 5). There's the novel and the new illustrated picture book, both by Lamplighter. Or Rainbow Resource, Amazon, and CBD have other versions, too.
Which one would you suggest?

We have the Lamplighter novel. Very cute story!!

We have the regular book (we bought it b4 the child's version came out). I started reading it to my teenage niece and my (then) 5 yr old picked up on the story and loved it! Now they are 6 & 8 and we have the audio version (10$) so we listen to it in the car or they listen at night in bed.

I'm sure the children's version is beautiful- but you could go with the regular book also! BTW, it is a wonderful story! :)

We like the picture book best, since it has big, beautiful pictures. They have simplified the language a bit too. But they are both great. Which reminds me.... I should read that to my kids again!
