My 10 year old son (soon to be 11) loves to read - but only certain things. He's read the Narnia books, Alex Rider, Redwall, Eragon. He won't touch Hardy Boys - not enough action. Are the Henty books too old for him? Is there action without violence?
Thanks for your help!

He should be fine with them. There is action, not violence if I am remembering right. Henty writes from a "formula" so after the first couple they get predictable. Some kids don't mind that, others are bored. That being said, one of our all time fav books is "Cat of Bubastes."
