Does anyone here have Rescue Squad experience?

I am wondering if it is common for the squad members to be, or appear to be, co-dependant or to have dysfunctional group relationships.

I do understand that the squad members often have bonding experiences because of the stressful situations that they go through together. Does this seem to be expressed negatively as a general rule, or is this unique to my county?

I had some observations of this a few years ago, but am having more this week due to some family situations. Anyone have any insight?

the people I knew in Rescue squads were extremely close but never negative. Almost too close ;-)

perhaps it's a personality thing there?
