Making Math Meaningful

I am looking for some information from those who have use Making Math Meaningful. Pros and cons. I am looking into it for my 8 yr old DS (ADD and gifted). Thanks!

but I've got an experienced homeschooling friend who has used it for years. She's got two boys and a girl between (probably) 2nd and 7th grade who seem to work well with it. She has told me that it just seems to click for them. She must like it better than Abeka, because the rest of her curr. is straight Abeka.
