My not really Valentine's Day but just because I love present

Dh has never really cared for someone telling him that only on one day he is to show his love. He objects to that idea. I think he's funny. Knowing that I sort of think that way but still want a little trinket, he usually does something. He gave me a KT Tunstall cd tonight, Tonight really isn't Valentine's Day, so he did not really get me a present for that. But coincidentally, I got a just because I love you gift the day before! LOL he's a hoot! You've gotta just love that.:)

11 years ago my friends at work told me I'd be coming back from Valentine's weekend with an engagement ring. I told them they were crazy-he'd never propose on Valentine's Day--it just was not his style.

He proposed on the 15th :p.

Ya know actually my husband I and I are the same way... although it is nice to be acknowledged and get something*Ü* we find the hallmark type holidays to focus to much on materialistic things.

So to find balance, if we do something, we make a gift or make something special or plan a special dinner.....

Although I would never turn down a gift from me hubby!! lol :D
