View Full Version : Has anyone used Bible Study Guide for All Ages to teach Sunday school?

I am thinking about suggesting a FAMILY-integrated Sunday school class at my church using Bible Study Guide for All Ages. It would be an hour class and I'm wondering if there's enough to fill that time. If you've used this even for a children's Sunday school could you please comment as to how it went, if you think it would work for a family class, any suggestions, etc.

My big question is this: I know it would work with younger children, but would it be too easy for adults and older teens?

I have the first two volumes including maps, timelines, worksheets, etc. We've used some of it at home with me and dd8 and ds5 and we love this curriculum!

Thanks for any help!

Not in Sunday school, but in my little one-room, multi-age school. The thing is that although it's *good*, IMHO, it wouldn't be *enough* for adults (which is my criticism of a family-oriented Sunday school--it can't be meaty enough for adults, or if it is, the littles will be lost). At any rate, I"m thinking if you used it for Sunday school, you'd want to do two lessons a week, as there are 104 lessons in each, and you wouldn't want to take 8 years to get throught all four!

That is my biggest concern-how to be sure all ages are learning. I had planned to do age 6 and up, so that would maybe help somewhat.

I'm not familiar with that program but I like the idea of family Sunday School. It's always seemed to me that it would be a great way for families to begin studying the Bible together. It would be comfortable if one spouse knew less than another. Most adults don't have the time line down. :) Why not give it a try and see how it goes.
