Hi! I wanted to share a good resouce for writing models and copywork and dictation. I have searched through my own books for good models because IEW and WT also works with models you choose but I could not find models I liked. I have Baldwin's 50 Famous Stories and this is good for models but I realized last week as I was reading with dd5 that her literature anthology would be a great souce of models. We are reading For the Children's Hour from Yesterday's Classics and it has many of the same type of stories I am seeing in CW, IEW and Writing Tales. There are stories about nature, traditional stories (Gingerbread Man etc. ) and stories with myths and holiday stories. Also, many of the stories are not very long. I thought I would mention this since it can serve double duty. It is a great literature anthology for younger children and a good souce of models for older children. If you go to Yesterday's Classics under literature you can see a sample of the book.
