help me with my graphing calculator, please

Suddenly, I am unable to graph inequalities on our TI-84 (silver). When I move the cursor to the left of the y=, it will not show the flashing triangles for inequalities- it will only graph a line. I made sure the "plots" were turned off. What am I doing wrong? I haven't had this problem before, but I am still learning how to use this thing:001_huh:

I have not had that problem with mine, so I am not sure what is causing it. I teach online and use mine all the time. Sometimes it starts acting wacky. Taking out all three batteries and then replacing them will usually cure whatever ails it.

If you have stored programs and extra stuff on yours, then you might want to read up on resetting it first. I am not sure if it will delete that or not. I don't have anything extra on mine.

Have you used the Inequalz program that is preloaded on the 84's? It is very nice for inequalities. Press [APPS][7] to access it.

He said he has never had this problem either and suggests that unless you have some special programs stored that you restore it to original settings.
