There was a discussion about it on the Secular Charlotte Mason YahooGroup several weeks ago. I bet you'd get more nibbles on this question if you went there.

I have used it for Grade 1. It is a perfect curriculum if you like the Charlotte Mason style. They obviously use living books, and they incorporate a lot of nature study, art appreciation, music, art, in addition to history and science. They also do have craft type things that usually go along with the nature study or science stuff. What I liked was that they use a weekly schedule, as opposed to daily, so you have a guide, but can do it your own way. Then every 8th day (I believe) is like a review day where they go over everthing they've learned. There are message boards, an email newsletter, and the office staff is very helpful & friendly. The books are quality, and the website is very user friendly. What I also really like is that they show the booklist on the website, so if you only want to buy certain ones through them you can & get others used. Or, you can buy it all as a package, and the price isn't too bad. The only thing they don't have is math included, or phonics, per say. In 1st, they do have the Ruth Beecheck book, and an early reading guide. Then as the years go on, they do have grammer included. It's a great curriculum, and the read alouds go along with a lot of the Ambleside type books.
Hope this helps!
