Writing aids or WWE?

Just wondering -- I will have a young 4th grader and am wondering which option is a better one. We will be doing TOG. Can they both teach him how to write better?

WWE gives you lesson plans for each day (4 days a week). They follow a pattern. It's much more open and go than WA. WA is much more big-picture-oriented, and so far I've found it harder to implement because it seems a little too vague for my tastes. It's more of a "here's a jumping-off point when the schedule in your week plan tells you to do _______" kind of setup.

I think they're both good, but if you're less comfortable with teaching writing (even if you're a good writer), then WWE will give you all the hand-holding you need.

Anyone else? Convince me why Writing Aids would be a better option because I have been leaning toward WWE for those younger years especially!
