Any Auralog language users out there? My dd is working through lesson one of Japanese and is frustrated by the lack of clear order and direction in how to proceed. Can someone share how they have used Auralog? Can this be done as a stand alone or do I need to use something else with it for more structure? My dd is 14 and in 9th grade. This is our first try at this type of language program. My oldest ds used Powerglide for Spanish and my next oldest is doing Latin online through Memoria Press. The progression and grading in both of those was/is pretty easily understood but Auralog is not so clearly defined.

TIA!
Sandy

Have you contacted Auralog? I got the impression at convention that they would have good customer service.

We used it briefly through the library here, but ds decided that he wanted to take Spanish at the cc here.

I considered getting Auralog for my dd through Homeschool Buyer's Co-op, but decided not to based on many complaints on amazon that there wasn't a clear order or structure for the lessons.

My dd loved Instant Immersion Japanese. It's a pretty cheap cd-rom set, but there's only one level. My dd finished it a long time ago.

Now my dd is working through Yes Japan. It's a monthly subscription, so if she gets tired of it, I can stop the subscription and not be out any more money. She's been using it for two months so far and likes it.

We plan for her to take Japanese at the cc next year.

Rainbow Resource gives the Auralog programs a great review. It's disappointing if it is difficult to use.
