I need to make some appetizer/snack-type foods for a gathering of children...ages approx. 5-11. I am thinking of making deviled eggs and sausage/cheese balls...the ones with Bisquick. I know my children will eat these, but I don't know if others will. Adults will be there, also...I just want to make sure I have something the younger crowd will eat.

Thanks!

My kids would devour those.

If there are going to be children at any gathering I cook for, I always add a fruit and/or veggie tray to the mix. They are easy, can be as cheap or expensive as you want them to be, and are usually a hit with kids and adults alike.

Fwiw, my kids would eat what you are cooking. Well, four of them anyway. The fifth doesn't eat anything but peanut butter and spaghetti. Not together of course.

My kids are strange---I've got one that could give that Anthony Bourdain a run for his money on eating the strangest things and another who just loves her veggies (especially broccoli and califlower)--so my kids would eat that plate clean.

Another thing to try, just in case, is those little smokies hot dog thingies. :) kids love those.

Mine wouldn't, but she only eats pasta and bread. ::sigh::

I'm not sure how deviled eggs go over with most kids, but I would bet the sausage/cheese balls would be a hit.
