hi all,
our K/1st grade child knows his numbers, etc. but has recently (w/in the past 6 wks or so) started to confuse the numbers 6 and 8. i have let it slide, but am concerned it's gone on for too long.
he even says "eighteen" for 16 and "sixteen" for 18, etc.
when starting from a lower number, he knows 8 follows 6.
in short, i don't think its a mathematical error, so much as a "labeling" error (if that makes any sense.)
any suggestions?
